A Taste of Great Oak Manor

Our Taste of Great Oak Series allows us to showcase the journey and culinary gifts of talented guest chefs from around the country. The Taste of Great Oak Manor Weekend includes a champagne welcome with chef selections, a fireside chat, an intimate cooking demonstration, curated meals, and a hands-on cooking lesson, all guided by the guest chef. These experiences are available at $500/person, with event activity fee sold separately from room charges.

An intimate culinary experience exploring partnership, passion, and shared craft through the lens of two chefs cooking side by side, led by James Beard award semifinalists Matt Conroy and Isabel Coss of Lutèce, Pascual, and Maison Bar à Vins in Washington, DC.

January 10, 2025 – January 12, 2025

This intimate wine and food celebration will feature memorable wine tasting pairings curated by guest sommelier Haley Moore. Moore will educate guests during special tastings and group meals, expertly pairing selections with dishes from the Great Oak Manor Culinary team.

Love & Chocolate Weekend

February 14, 2025 – February 16, 2025

This weekend will bring an extraordinary experience featuring 2024 James Beard Award nominated and renowned chocolatier, Phillip Ashley Rix, whose expertise lies in luxury chocolate design. The culinary theme for the weekend is Telling Your Story Through Chocolate, where Chef Phillip Ashley will guide guests through a unique exploration of chocolate’s role in storytelling. Guests will participate in special tastings, hands-on cooking experiences, and group meals, with a focus on luxury chocolate pairings and creations.

From Asia to Montego Bay

March 7, 2025 – March 9, 2025

Chef Jerome Grant, Executive Chef at Jackie, will take guests on a one-of-a-kind culinary journey blending the flavors of Asia and Montego Bay. Chef Grant will guide attendees through a fusion of Asian and Jamaican cuisine during group meals, hands-on cooking experiences, and demonstrations.

A Japanese Comfort Food Journey

April 4, 2025 – April 6, 2025

Join 2024 James Beard Award-winning Chef Masako Morishita for an immersive journey into Japanese comfort food. Chef Masako will share her deep love for Japanese cuisine, balancing tradition with modernity, while focusing on creating fun and memorable dishes. Guests will participate in special tastings, hands-on cooking experiences, and group meals featuring authentic Japanese comfort food.

A Taste of Korea

September 12th - 14th, 2025

3-time James Beard Award nominee and Executive Chef at Anju, Chef Angel Barreto brings his signature style of Korean food to Great Oak Manor. For Chef Angel, striking a balance between traditional and modern dishes is core to his vision as a chef. Chef Angel will educate guests during special tastings, hands-on cooking experiences, and group meals.
